Rajasthan
Rajasthan (The Incredible State of India) is the largest Indian state by area and the seventh largest by population. Rajasthan is literally "The Land of Kings." The state is divided into 33 districts. Jaipur is the capital of the state. It is mainly arid and its western border is adjacent to Pakistan. The Rajputs, a martial community ruled over this area for centuries. The geopgraphic features of Rajasthan include the Aravalli Range and the Thar Desert. Rajasthan has a rich history and culture. The state is known for its numerous attractions which include majestic forts, decorated havelis and carved temples. It is also a land of festivals and fairs, besides the national festivals.
